No- At Base Camp Functional Medicine, we do not accept insurance, Medicare, or VA benefits because we prioritize personalized, in-depth care without the constraints of insurance companies. This allows us to dedicate more time to each patient and focus on addressing the root causes of health concerns through customized treatment plans. Operating outside of the insurance system also eliminates administrative burdens, ensuring more efficient, high-quality care. However, patients are welcome to take receipts from their visits and seek reimbursement through their HSA, FSA, or insurance provider, depending on their plan's coverage.

No- our clinic does not accept chronic pain patients, prescribe pain medication, or manage pain medications. Our focus is on holistic and functional medicine approaches, prioritizing overall wellness and the root causes of health issues. If you're seeking support for chronic pain, we recommend consulting a specialist who can provide the appropriate management and treatment options.

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a healthcare model where patients pay a monthly subscription fee for unlimited access to primary care services. This fee covers routine check-ups, consultations, and certain in-office procedures, allowing for more personalized and direct care without the need for insurance. With DPC, patients can typically enjoy longer appointments and more accessible communication with their provider, ensuring that their healthcare is both convenient and tailored to their needs.

Fee-for-service primary care is a healthcare model where patients pay for each service or appointment as they receive it, rather than through a subscription or insurance. Instead of a monthly fee, patients are charged for individual visits, procedures, or treatments. This pay-as-you-go approach offers flexibility and transparency, allowing you to only pay for the care you need. Please note that we do not accept insurance, so payment is made directly for services at the time of care.
